Eden's Story

During the winter of 2020, I was hired to illustrate a children's book written by my client's granddaughter, Eden. Though this book is not available to the public, it is a completed, physical work! Below are some of the illustrations created for the book.

I worked with my client on the character design in order to give the main character, Kola, the look my client envisioned. The first image was my initial design, and the second one was fit to my client's specifications. In the end, Kola ended up being modeled after my client's granddaughter!

In order to give the setting of our story a more realistic feeling, I created many backgrounds based on a kingdom/castle theme. Whether the characters were dancing under the moonlight or sipping tea in the shade, I designed the backgrounds to be elegant and regal.

I was asked back almost a year later to create a second book, in which I was able to showcase my artistic development. Here are some of the illustrations crated for the sequel.
